FRS Launches Upgraded Website

Braselton GA, November 21, 2007      FRS of Brasleton GA  has upgraded and expanded its website. The website launched November 20, has the theme “For the Environment—For your Company, and highlights the environmental and economic benefits of a comprehensive specialty elastomer recycling program.

“Since we originally launched this website in 2004, the industry has come 180 degrees on the issues of environment and resource conservation”, said Bob Rathbun, FRS President, “and with the influence of Japanese and European companies in North America, we expect that within the next few years, reduction of plant emissions and landfill reduction will be a top priority for companies who want to responsibly participate in this market. This web presence is a way to communicate to customers at all levels the feasibility of a by-product management program.”

“Specialty elastomers such as fluoroelastomer are prime candidates for recycling”, says James A. Shell Vice President, Quality and Technology, “Their high material cost makes it economically attractive, and it is actually easier technically to re-introduce the material back into the product stream. ”  Experts in this industry estimate that every ton of fluoroelastomer recycled not only reduces landfilling by one ton of material, but also prevents the release of up to 3 tons of greenhouse gases from the supply chain. It is estimated that up to a half million pounds of recyclable FKM by-product is being needlessly sent to landfills every year. Companies who set up a comprehensive by-product recycling program can also capture substantial economic savings.

FRS operates an ISO-certified specialty elastomer recycling facility in Valley Park MS and is the industry leader in fluoroelastomer and specialty elastomer recycling. The FRS website www.fluoroelastomerrecycling.com features environmental information, technical data, and economic and business modeling of the benefits of a comprehensive by-product management program.
